This guide is not intended to be an unbiased reference work on the Occult. Instead it is intended to be useful. The definitions given are based upon experience as well as scholarship, and may well offend those who are wedded to particular theories, traditions and organisations. Reading these essays will arm the enquirer against the bluster and bullshit that affects the Occult, Paganism and Magick. Anyone offended should ask themselves why they are upset rather than emailing me, because I won't open any emails sent by any objector, but may reply by sending them the entire text of Varney the Vampire several times over.
